Alfred-Pierre Agache -- L'Épée 1896

because everything was political:
the politics of how many rings before i pick up
how many goodbye's before a hang up
the intricate act of interruption
of smiling back at strangers walking by

the politics, sometimes, of sexual intercourse:
easily evaded
everything was, until it wasn't and we were lost
easily deceptive

the politics of ink-pens and yellow-papers waltzing between meanings and intonations
the handling of a fork and choosing wine
of discreet discriminations between articles to discuss
it was all political all of it all and all

it was gratuitous and grandiose and then i thought
-i don't know how to change my Canadian tires-
the politics of ending a song
of ending a story
is the most delicate yet
and the politics of it is never political enough.

Tara have you done any translation work from English to Farsi? (Meaning Books, short stories...)

Yes and why may I ask?

I have access to some work, that I might not have time to help translate and of course this is not what I do professionaly. The reason I think these works are valuable in this context and a few might be of interest to you, is that it will help Farsi Speaking people, get a better grasp on the matters at hand. Would that opportiunity possibly interest you if it presents itself, in RevShare or volunteer format? If you have concerns regarding the quality of the work I will frame it as non-human for now and financial concern has not played any role in creation of these works.

that's all very nice, but, leaving anonymous comments on my blog is a strange way to approach me no?

Sorry I don't have openID, Google Account or a Public Blog, but just realized I could have left an identifier after reading your comment, apologies too late. I do agree people can be/seem strange, it is one of our 'defining characteristics', no? hehe listen this is absolutely beautiful, yet a grey cold WarSaw wind breezes through, hear me out:

"I was walking home, when I Saw a tiny old lady with hands full of groceries steadily walking toWard me. I was compelled to go up to her and offer to carry her bags home. I made eye contact but she wouldn't have it. I stopped, but she didn't notice. So I kept walking, feeling a little bit colder than before."

I need to see through this project again, it has moved to a different level and needs a few months of work, plus things are crazy and tough around here to begin with and it's not helping with progress. Regardless the answer is no, I will still keep you in mind for this and there you'd think being nice doesn't count as non-human ; ) Let's frame it as: what comes to Zizek by meditating on a movie, comes to me in an instant flash, and lest you'd think you don't need me to meditate it, I didn't, just a flash ;P I'll contact you directly if/when things fall into place and see if it intrigues your tara of life.

take care
